Patel Group's Commitment to a Greener Future
Dedicated to advancing sustainability through innovative solutions and eco-friendly practices for a better tomorrow.
We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.
As attention to environmental and social sustainability grows across all sectors, including textiles and agriculture, the Patel Group recognizes the increasing influence of these values on consumer choices, especially among younger generations. To remain competitive and secure long-term success, we have integrated sustainability into our strategic decisions, enhancing our offerings with innovative products while maintaining our creative process. Our commitment extends across the entire value chain, involving all stakeholders in promoting a culture of sustainability. To support this, the Patel Group has identified five key action areas that form the foundation of our sustainability efforts.

The Priorities of the Patel Group: Five Pillars of Sustainability
Since 2016, the Patel Group has implemented a priority analysis process in line with international sustainability reporting standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative. This “materiality analysis” has identified the 13 most significant issues for the Group and its stakeholders. These key issues are summarized in the Patel Group’s five pillars of sustainability, which guide all current and future initiatives.
Attention to the customers
In order to ensure the service excellence, understood to be quality, authenticity, safety and traceability of the product.
Employee wellbeing and talent development
Prioritizing worker safety through training and skill development investments.
Environmental protection and efficient use of resources
In order to reduce environmental impacts along the entire value chain.
Responsible management of the supply chain
Fostering sustainable supply chains through strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
Support and involvement of communities
In order to create value for the benefit of the territory and the people who live therein.
Product Safety
Patel Group’s commitment to sustainability extends across the entire supply chain. Alongside rigorous monitoring, the company has actively worked for years to raise awareness among its suppliers. These suppliers are encouraged to neutralize the greenhouse gas emissions linked to the products they provide to Patel Group through a structured process of measurement, reduction, and offsetting.
The Patel Group’s journey toward the Zero Discharge goal involves three interconnected phases:
- Regularly updating the Restricted Substances List (RSL).
- Conducting thorough testing on significant product samples.
- Compiling detailed reports on the testing results.
These steps are designed to foster best practices by effectively managing the use of chemical substances throughout the production value chain, reinforcing Patel Group’s commitment to transforming the supply chain.

The selection of raw materials is considered by weighing specific economic, ethical and environmental criteria that ensure consistency, on the one hand, with the Group’s sustainability-related values and principles, and with client wants and needs, on the other. The Group has therefore since a number of years initiated projects relating to traceability of raw materials in collaboration with suppliers.
Having optimal information and knowledge about each phase of the life cycle of products, right from the obtaining of raw materials, allows the Group to direct its efforts in a targeted manner towards the productive phases which present far more opportunities for improvement; it represents a guarantee of quality and transparency for consumers and helps to spread greater awareness along the entire value chain.
In 2018, the Group’s fabric collections introduced a variety of products that use innovative materials, in response to the growing global attention on environmental issues.
